Christiano Ronaldo Passed the Legend Brazilian Pele, After Scoring Hat-Trick for Portugal at the World Qualifying Match against Faroe Islands

After the match that ended 5-1 last night against Faroe Islands, Christiano Ronaldo have proved unstoppable by scoring hat-trick for his country; Portugal.

The Real Madrid superstar is now ahead of the iconic figure of Pele, with two goals and just one goal below the
Zambian greatest footballer of all times; Godfrey Chitalu.

Christiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick scoring tonight has moved him to 78 goals for Portugal and earned him the fifth highest international goal scorer, after the likes of Iranian Ali Daei (109 goals), Hungarian Ferenc Puskas (84 goal), Japanese Kunishige Kamamoto (80 goals) and Zambian Godfrey Chitalu (79 goals) who are the only ones ahead of him.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner’s latest efforts have also made him reach another milestone in terms of World Cup qualifiers, as well as taken him onto 14 for the current campaign, with that haul matching that of former Real Madrid striker Predrag Mijatovic.

During last summer, Ronaldo helped his country Portugal to the European Championship glory and will be hoping to covey further international achievement if he can lead his country to a Russian showpiece in 2018.
