Transfer Update – Chelsea Signed Davide Zappacosta from Torino.

Chelsea Signed Davide Zappacosta from Torino and Declared Interest In Signing  Southampton’s Cedric Soares

About 12 hours remaining for the closure of the transfer windows, Chelsea announced the completion of a deal to sign 25 years old right wing-back Italy international defender Davide Zappacosta from Torino, this has been confirmed by the club. He is set to continue his career at center-back .defence  at Stanford bridge alongside with Cesar Azpilicueta.

Zappacosta said: “It is a dream for me to join Chelsea and play in the Premier League. I am very excited to be here and start working with the team. I hope I can show my quality to the coach, my team-mates and the supporters.”

Technical director Michael Emenalo added: “Davide is a player of international caliber who Antonio Conte knows well and we have been aware of for some time. We are very pleased to be able to bring him to the club and believe he will become an important member of the squad.”

The blues reportedly declared interest in signing Southampton’s Cedric Soares after Fernando Llorente prefer moving to Tottenham over Chelsea and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain turned down the blues offer.

As there is a very thin space of time in the transfer windows, Chelsea is at severe risk of leaving Antonio Conte with a mightily thin squad. They need to act fast, though Conte may have a strong first-team, injuries and poor form will wreak havoc with the club’s prospects.

When Champions League football matches return, there will be high demand for an abundance of players to select and rotate. It will be a long and intense season so squad number is necessary to maintaining challenges on all four fronts.
