A problem for Drug Traffickers as US President Donald Trump Want Offenders to Face Death Penalty

Donald Trump urges death penalty for drug traffickers in the United States so as to eradicate the currently rising, ‘opioid crisis in the country, he made this known on Monday during a speech in the country’s most affected state; New Hampshire.

It is estimated that 2.4 million Americans are addicted to such drugs which comprise of painkillers and heroin, the health officials in the country said ‘addiction of the drugs caused the death of about 63,000 people in 2016 alone in the country.

Trump said,’ the death penalty punishment law should be implemented in the country’s constitution as urgent as possible because when you “Take a look at some of these countries where they don’t play games, they don’t have a drug problem”.

Donald Trump commended Philippines president   Rodrigo Duterte for his tireless war against drug cartels in his country which is very effective as the Philippines police announced that they have successfully killed 4,100 drug dealers in the country, though “human right groups said the real toll is triple that number, and the International Criminal Court is investigating”

Trump further suggested Congress should approve $6 billion in 2018-2019 budgets for war against opioid crisis as the Department of Justice is working very hard to seek the death punishment against drug traffickers “when it’s appropriate under current law”.
