Nigeria Customs recruitment 2019 portal is now open for application from interested and eligible candidates.

The Nigeria Customs recruitment 2019 is set to select 3200 qualified candidates to fill the vacancies in the categories of Superintendent, inspector, and Assistant cadres of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Category ‘A’ Customs

Superintendent Cadre:

ASCII (Support Staff)-CONSOL 08

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree, HND or equivalent in any of the below-listed fields or related department.
  • Applicant must also possess an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Category ‘B’ General Duty:

Customs Inspector Cadre

Assistant Inspector-CONSOL 06

Applicants must have OND, NCE or equivalent certification which must have been obtained from recognized polytechnics and other institutions.

Customs Assistant Cadre

Customs Assistant Grade II – CONSOL 04

Applicants must have SSCE/ NECO/ GCE with credits in not less than 3 subjects which includes English and Mathematics which must have been obtained at one sitting and passes in at least two other subjects.

OR

GCE Ordinary Level with passes in four subjects which includes  English and Mathematics which must have been obtained at one sitting or more subjects which includes English and Mathematics obtained at no more than two sittings.

Customs Assistant Grade II – CONSOL 03

Applicants must have evidence of full course in Government approved secondary school or S.75 or JSSC and Trade Test certificate where relevant.

General Requirements For The Custom 2019 Recruitment

  • Candidates must be Nigerian by birth or descent.
  • Male applicants must not be less than 1.7 meters tall, while females must not be less than 1.64 meters in height.
  • Male applicants must have fully expanded chest which measures not less than 0.87 meters.
  • Applicants must be certified to be physically and mentally fit by a Government Medical Officer for the appointment in the service.
  • Applicants must be free from any form of physical and mental disability.
  • Applicants must be free from financial embarrassment.
  • Must be of good character and must not have any trace of any crime.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Applicants must possess the certificate of state of origin which must have been signed by the chairman/ secretary of their various local governments (Any certificate endorsed by liaison officer will be rejected).
  • Candidates for inspector and customs assistant cadres must be between the age of 18 – 25 years.
  • Candidates for superintendent cadre must not be above 30 years old.

How To Apply For Nigeria Custom Recruitment

  • Visit The Nigeria Customs recruitment portal https://vacancy.customs.gov.ng to fill the Nigeria custom application form.
  • Click on the ‘Vacancies’ link on the homepage.
  • Fill the application form appropriately and click on the ‘submit’ button.
  • If you wish to submit filled hard copy of the Custom Application form, go to any Customs Headquarters, Abuja as any other customs formation will not be considered.
  • After successful submission, you will receive an acknowledgment containing a Reference number which must be quoted on all future correspondence.

Important Notice

  • Application ends on Monday 7th May 2019.
  • Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited for the next phase of the Nigeria Customs recruitment exercise. 
  • The recruitment is free and no fee or payment is required.
