1. MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES
CATEGORY A: Superintendent Cadre
- Superintendent of Corps (SC) Medical Doctors [CONMESS 02]
- Superintendent of Corps (SC) Dentist [CONMESS 02]
- Superintendent of Corps (SC) Optometrists [CONMESS 02]
M.B.B.S; M.D; M.D.S certification and equivalents acquired through any approved university is required to be eligible for this position.
CATEGORY B: Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector of Corps (IC) Nursing [CONHESS 07]
To be eligible for this position you must be a Registered Midwives (RM), Registered Nurses (RN) or Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNM) from an approved institution.
- Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC) [CONPASS 06]
Eligibility for this position requires a Diploma certification in any of the following areas:
Community Health
Medical Records
Pharmacy
Food and Nutrition
Health Education
Health Information Management
Laboratory
Environmental Technician and other Health/Medical related fields.
CATEGORY C: Assistant (CAII) [CONPASS 04]
A degree certification in any of the following areas is required:
Community Health
Medical Records
Pharmacy
Food and Nutrition
Health Education
Health Information Management
Laboratory
Environmental Technician and other Health/Medical related fields.

2. GENERAL DUTY
CATEGORY A: Superintendent Cadre
Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASCII) (CONPASS 08)
A first-degree certification from a recognized University in any of the following areas:
Humanities
Social Science
Psychology
Estate/ Town Planning
Public Health
Food Sciences
Social Works
Security
Criminology
Operational Research
CATEGORY B: Inspectorate Cadre:
- Senior Inspector of Corps (SIC) [CONPASS 08]
To be eligible for this position a Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate is required.
- Inspector of Corps (IC)
NCE, Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNM) or equivalent certification in any field from a recognized institution is needed for this position.
- Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC)
National Diploma (ND) from a recognized Polytechnic/institution or a certification in Community Health, Pharmacy, and Health Education is required.
CATEGORY C: Assistant Cadre
- Corps Assistant (CAII) [CONPASS O4]
SSCE WAEC/NECO/GCE Ordinary level or the equivalents is required with five (5) credit passes in English and Mathematics and three (3) other relevant subjects obtained in not more than two (2) sittings is required from every aspirant of this position.
- Corps Assistant (CAIII) [CONPASS 03]
Artisans, Motor Driver, Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons, etc, who have SSCE WAEC/NECO/GCE ordinary level or the equivalents with three (3) credit passes in English or Mathematics or Trade Test Grade III obtained in not more than two sittings are eligible.
3. DRIVERS/MECHANICS
Assistant Cadre:
- Corps Assistant (CAII) [CONPASS 04]
Auto Electricians, Motor Drivers, Mechanics, etc, who are in possession of Trade Test Grade II certification is eligible for this position.
- Corps Assistant (CAIII) (CONPASS 03)
Also, Auto Electrician, Motor Drivers, Mechanics, etc, who have Trade Test Grade III certification are eligible for this position.
Note: Motor Drivers candidates must have a valid National Driver’s License.
4. ARTISANS
Assistant Cadre
- Corps Assistant (CAII) [CONPASS 04]
Opened for Artisans, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons; etc, who have Trade Test Grade II certification.
- Corps Assistant (CAIII) [CONPASS 03]
Opened also for Artisans, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons, etc, who has Trade Test Grade III.
Civil Defence Recruitment General Requirements
-Applicants must have Nigerian citizenship by birth.
-Must possess all the required qualifications and certifications.
-Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and not more than 30 years to be eligible for any position.
-A medical fitness report from a recognized Government Hospital is required from every candidate and it must show that the applicant is physically okay.
-Must be free from any trace of a criminal conviction.
-At least 1.65m height is required from every male applicant while the females must be at least 1.60m in height.
-Must be of good character.
-Should be free from any hard drug or substance.
-Must not be embarrassed financially.
-A chest size of at least 0.87 is required from every male applicant.
-Must not be a cultist or belong to any sort of secret society.
– Computer Literate applicants have added advantage.
